Step Up with Confidence
We are excited to introduce ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú ELEVATE, our innovative new program for Year 5 and 6 students, designed to provide an exceptional learning experience that supports them as they begin to prepare for Senior School.
Our ELEVATE class teachers work closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning, the Diverse Learning team, Learning Assistants, and Senior School teachers to differentiate and personalise instruction in areas of Mathematics and English. This approach ensures students are supported, enriched and extended according to their needs. Students also have opportunities to engage in dynamic learning experiences within Senior School settings, delivered by Senior School teachers.
ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú ELEVATE aims to offer a seamless and engaging pathway for our Stage 3 students, creating a bridge that fosters confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for the future.
ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Elevate Goals:
- Prepares our students to step up from Junior School to Senior School
- Aims to meet the students where they are at and guide them to the next level. For some students, this could be providing them with timely, fresh challenges and for others, it will work towards easing any anxiety they may feel about moving to Senior School.
- Offers enrichment opportunities to students in core subjects.
- Takes students’ independence, resilience and enthusiasm for learning to the next level by providing meaningful exposure to Senior School subjects and learning spaces.
- Fosters curiosity and engagement through hands-on learning in a range of learning environments.

A key feature of the program is the opportunity for students to access Senior School learning spaces, and receive instruction from specialist Senior School teachers in:
- Wood Technology
- Food Technology
- Science in Senior School laboratories
- Philosophy
- Drama
- P.E
- Studies Skills
- Research Skills
This exposure to the Senior School allows students to experience what it’s like to move between different classrooms and work with specialist teachers, just as they would in Senior School, while still in the supportive environment of the Junior School. It’s an exciting, hands-on experience that sparks curiosity and also gives students the confidence they need as they ease into Senior School life.

The ELEVATE program is designed to ensure that students feel supported and confident as they prepare to step up. It provides a gentle, gradual exposure to the next stage of learning while remaining in the Junior School. Teachers and support staff work closely with students, providing continuous guidance and encouragement, ensuring they have the tools they need to manage the academic and social aspects of their transition to Senior School. As well as being an academic transition, students are developing confidence and independence, creating a well-rounded foundation for future success.
